Afterthought: the Private Life of Sherlocke Holmes

I watched this movie yesterday. It was the best Sherlocke Holmes movie I've ever seen. I do think this Sherlocke Holmes caught the essence from the book. Dr. Watson was made fun in the movie, but not to the point of degrading the whole thing into something else. It was rather unusual that the movie was about Sherlocke Holmes' failure.

The movie was not started with the main case. But it started by building a characters with few short stories. It was quite amazing that it could squeeze in so many things in 2 hours. But it worked really well to bring out Sherlocke Holmes' personality. And it raised a central theme of the movie, the "Private Life" of Sherlocke Holmes. By doing so, the movie bring an audience to peek into the world famous detective, who was always presented as having cold deduction skill, and know it all attitude.

I really liked the movie. I felt the ending really brought a Sherlocke Holmes with real muscle, bones, brain, and heart to life!
