Pi's afterthought

I watched Life of Pi the second time today with mom.  I was still very impressed by it.  I read the book before.  But I like the movie better.

I thought I would feel less of the movie this time, but I did not.  This is still a great film.

I liked that tiger.  Not just because it was a tiger, but also because it was a tiger.

The difference between the book and the movie was the description of hardship on the boat, or rather the lacking of.  What brutal reality the book described in graphical detail, the movie can use music and manuver of camera to create similar feeling without the disgust of the images in the brain.

All the casting was perfect, the music suit the mood perfectly.
